Group Financial Controller (12-month FTC)

An international renewable energy investor and project developer is searching for a Group Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Based in Central London, this role has primary responsibility for the corporate holding companies and will involve managing group financial controls, systems and processes and providing support to local country finance teams as well as supporting the business in financial due diligence. We are looking for an ambitious, qualified accountant from an audit background who has post qualifying experience gained in industry, in an accounting and controls focused role for a multinational business.

You will play a critical role in all aspects of financial reporting and control, including the development and monitoring of group-wide financial policies, controls, processes and systems to support the continued growth of the business around the world. The Group Controller has responsibility for a number of corporate holding companies and will be the system administrator for their ERP along with managing the year-end statutory audit process. There is a significant project element of the role including advising on M&A transactions, analysing and monitoring FX exposure and a focus on continuous improvement across the corporate finance function.

Applications are encouraged from qualified chartered accountants (ACA / ACCA / CPA) who trained in audit / assurance and have since furthered there technical and commercial finance knowledge in an industry role with strong experience around IFRS / UK GAAP and company funding / treasury. The ability to develop cross functional relationships both within finance and outside will be key to the success of this role; the company has an inclusive and collaborative working culture with excellent exposure to senior leadership.
