About the Role
Our client, a large, well-established business in Hull, East Yorkshire, are searching for an Interim Group Finance Manager to join their group finance function on a maternity cover contract.
Ideally starting in May and will run for at least 9 months, this role will be integral to the group function and delivery of key accounting milestones in the financial year.
This key interim position will sit within the central group finance function. You will play a crucial role in supporting financial controls processes, ensuring the month-end accounting process runs smoothly, and contributing to the successful delivery of year-end and statutory reporting.
In addition, you will support the reporting structure with the production and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and half-year accounts, and provide ad-hoc assistance to the wider commercial finance team as needed.
Key responsibilities:

Lead and support the month-end close process across the group and subsidiary reporting

Drive improvements in financial controls and compliance

Support the delivery of statutory accounts and group year-end processes

Partner with reporting teams to deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and interim accounts

Provide financial insight and ad-hoc support to the commercial finance function
About you:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in group finance roles

Proven track record of delivering statutory and management reporting in large, complex businesses

Able to hit the ground running and manage priorities in a dynamic environment

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to a complex, multi-entity group structure
