HedgerWay are currently partnered with a Listed Oil & Gas company in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant to be based in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of audit and tax compliance for the group’s subsidiaries
- Preparation of audit files, drafting of IFRS or local GAAP accounts, management of external audit process and finalisation of statutory audited financial statements;
- Corporation tax compliance for UK subsidiaries including tax computations, preparation of tax packs for external tax consultants, liaison with tax consultants to finalise and file annual tax returns
- Assist with all accounting, balance sheet reconciliation and quarterly and annual reporting of group companies;
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Group Financial Controller, which may include systems development and automation, joint venture accounting and reporting, technical accounting research and writing accounting memorandums and assistance in agreeing accounting treatment with statutory auditors.
The company are seeking a newly qualified ACA Accountant that is looking to transition from practice into industry and the ideal profile will have experience auditing oil & gas companies and ideally exposure to joint venture accounting for both operated and non-operated assets.
Given the small nature and close working relationship of the team, the right attitude, personality and team fit are paramount. Roles and responsibilities may vary and develop over time depending on experience, individual strengths, interests and development aspirations.
