Group Accountant

HedgerWay are currently partnered with a Global Oil & Gas company in the recruitment of a Group Accountant to be based in Central London.

This is a newly created role due to continued growth of the company and reporting into the Financial Controller, they are looking for a qualified accountant with excellent technical accounting skills to support the production of group financial statements and other reporting requirements for the expanding group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing consolidated financial statements for multiple groups of companies in accordance with IFRS.
• Assist with the preparation of the group monthly management accounts pack for senior management review.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual group budget pack.
• Liaise with the group auditors and other stakeholders on financial enquiries.
• Assist with the production of annual and quarterly reports for investors.
• Assist with the implementation of new consolidation software.
• Be a key point of contact for accounting queries across the group.
• Detailed Balance Sheet reviews of subsidiaries.
• Ensuring the group stay up to date with changes to IFRS reporting requirements.
• Ad-hoc work as required.

They are looking for someone fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) ideally within Big 4 / Top 20 practice firm and has had exposure to IFRS.
Prior experience in the Oil & Gas sector would be beneficial, not essential.
