Management Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Director, the primary focus of the role is ownership for the provision of accurate and timely management information to the Division.The role offers a hands-on opportunity to be a key part to the finance team responsible for the divisional management reporting and financial analysis to internal stakeholders, while maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Fundamental to the role is the ability to work proactively and in collaboration with other departments in support of the wider business.

Responsibilties will include:

• Lead role in preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and supporting schedules and deliverables.
• Maintain the general ledger through preparation of month end balance sheet and weekly bank reconciliations, reporting returns (VAT / CIS) and journal processing.
• Preparation of financial and BVA cost analysis to assist drive accurate cost reporting and cashflow forecasting / treasury management to ensure compliance with the Prompt Payment Code
• Assist in the preparation of the Divisional annual budget process and monthly forecasting.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and other departments to provide finance support and drive best practice, while escalating issues to the FD as necessary.
