About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the primary focus of the role is ownership for the provision of accurate and timely management information to the Division.The role offers a hands-on opportunity to be a key part to the finance team responsible for the divisional management reporting and financial analysis to internal stakeholders, while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
Fundamental to the role is the ability to work proactively and in collaboration with other departments in support of the wider business.
Responsibilties will include:
- Lead role in preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and supporting schedules and deliverables.
- Maintain the general ledger through preparation of month end balance sheet and weekly bank reconciliations, reporting returns (VAT / CIS) and journal processing.
- Preparation of financial and BVA cost analysis to assist drive accurate cost reporting and cashflow forecasting / treasury management to ensure compliance with the Prompt Payment Code
- Assist in the preparation of the Divisional annual budget process and monthly forecasting.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and other departments to provide finance support and drive best practice, while escalating issues to the FD as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A professrional accounting qualification
- Excellent administration and organisation skills.
- Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficient IT skills (Word, Outlook).
