Finance Manager

Hybrid – 2/3 days office.

A growing financial services business that provide FX and payment services to corporate clients via traditional brokerage methods via technology platforms are looking to make their first finance hire into the business. The business recently completed an MBO and are working with a funding partner to achieve significant growth over the next 3-5 years, after which they may well look at an equity event (which the successful candidate will be a part of). In this role, you will work very closely with the CEO and exec board (along with one of the non execs who is an ex CFO) and provide full finance support to the business to include management accounting, financial accounting including the annual audit process, budgeting and forecasting including of cashflows, expense analysis, payroll and any other operational finance duties. There will be plenty of opportunity to build and improve processes to professionalise the finance function and various projects that will provide strategic insight to the business and its performance to aid growth. Over time and as the business grows, there will also be the opportunity to hire additional resource to assist with the running of the function.

The role would be suited to qualified accountants (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CPA) with a couple of years PQE who is ready to take their next step in their career and not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty. You will need to have the ability to communicate across a business, dealing with senior execs on a day to day basis and be a self starting individual who has the ability to work independently in a busy, agile and unstructured environment. You will be working with a range of personalities across the business so strong people skills, gravitas and a good sense of humour are highly valued characteristics.
